Abstract
Feedback plays a crucial role in the student experience. In recent years, the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational settings has attracted growing interest, raising questions about the role it might play in generating and delivering feedback to students. Against this backdrop, this study aims to investigate in depth the perceptions of a sample of 60 upper secondary school teachers regarding the use of AI to provide feedback to students. Data were collected via an online questionnaire. The analysis, conducted using a mixed-methods approach, highlights an initial division between those who report having used AI for feedback activities (59%) and those who report never having used it (41%). Within the group of those who have used AI to provide feedback, a second division emerges between those who have observed improvements in student performance (55%) and those who have observed other dynamics, to which particular attention was paid in the qualitative analysis.
